The European Union and Russia adopted the road map for the implementation of a Space of Research and Education (including cultural aspects). An effective implementation of this space requires that workers of the TV and Film sector will be ready to interaction between TV and Film industries of Russia and the European Union. This is the important purpose that should be achieved in advance by educational institutions of Russia and the European Union.

The project called TROIKA is aimed at the cross-cultural mobility and interaction. It is also aimed at the development of a new approach to exchange and cooperation between artistic universities of the EU and Russia, to foster the cross-cultural team training for professional activity in TV and film industries in the future world. This approach is based on the idea that the best way of this team training is an activity in international student production groups when making a training TV programme or film. International team training activity should become an important element of the educational process in artistic universities in accordance with the approach suggested.

International team training can be realised in a series of workshops dedicated to script writing, shooting, editing and so on. Each production group consists of students from different countries. The members of the international student production groups should master the common language of communication and the common technical and technology language. That is why each workshop should start with presentations corresponding to the theme of the workshop (script writing, editing and so on) and made by universities’ professors. Each workshop should finish by self-dependent work of the international student production groups. The final workshop should be dedicated to the editing of the TV programme or film being created.

An obvious result of a series of the workshops described is a TV programme or film created by students. A more important result is that the participants of the workshops have known the common international language of communication and technology. They have overcome the psychological barrier of international communication and master international team work skills. They will be ready to interaction between TV and Film sector workers after graduating from their universities. These graduates will be the leaders of the new mobile generation of TV and Film sector workers.
